SUMMER HOLIDAYS!

July 21, 2012

Cannot believe we have reached the end of another term.  While typing this, the sun is shining so, fingers crossed, it will remain so for the next six weeks.

A brilliant end of term with so many badges and certificates achieved and lots of promotions up to higher levels.  It will be lovely to see our ‘little people’ from the pre-school classes starting ‘big girl and boy’ after school lessons, an exciting and momentous term for them all as they begin their new schools.

Leigh & Ali’s baby classes have proved very popular this term and, with their gentle and nurturing approach, have seen some beautiful results with confident and happy baby/parent pairs eagerly turning up each week to the lessons.

As always, the teachers have been delighted by the children’s approach to their swimming lessons.  I think the prize for the person who has been most ‘naughty’ this term goes to ……………………ME! (Although I think Phil C is a close runner up).

Summer school starts next week and we look forward to welcoming back some past pupils as well as present swimmers and new clients.  The summer classes are proving very popular and there are still a few spaces on some of the courses if you are stuck for an idea over the summer holidays.

A number of our older children are moving on to Marlins and we are so proud that they have been taken into the higher levels.  I wish them, and all the children leaving us this term, lots of fun with their future swimming.

Currently, all ‘after school’ places at 1st Swim School have been taken and there are just a few baby and pre-school places vacant for next term, a testimony to the hard work and dedication that the super teachers – Kathy, Rose, Leigh, Val, Ali, Abi, Phil & Tom all put in to make 1st Swim School what is is. Also a big thank you to our DOE students this term Lucy & Joe and our cover teachers Lynn, Karen & Sarah.

Have a good summer everyone and I look forward to catching up with you in September.

Phil
