End of a Successful Swimming Year

July 16, 2016

What a brilliant swimming year we have had at 1st Swim School.  Our photo gallery says it all.  Great swimming by all of the children and it has been such a pleasure to teach them and see them achieve and progress throughout this year.

A big thank you to my team of swimming teachers who make 1st Swim School the success it is.  Lots of personal achievements for the team this year.  Kathy becoming a British record holder in backstroke as well as going on to further success in the European Master Championships.  Phil Carter becoming a retained Firefighter in addition to assisting me to manage 1st Swim School.  Sadly, Kathy will no longer be teaching, regularly, at our Hurstpierpoint sessions but we shall look forward to seeing her back there cover teaching from time to time. Leigh will now be our senior teacher at Hurstpierpoint on a Friday evening and know that the sessions will be in most capable hands.

We have welcomed new teachers Joy, Karen and Trainette into the team this year and will be adding Lorna, Nathan and our student teacher Cerys in September.  Cerys has been a part of 1st Swim School since the age of 3 years and I am so pleased to now welcome her as part of the team.

Exciting times ahead for the new swimming year.  1st Swim School are delighted to be teaching St Wilfrid’s School children as from September and teachers Lorna and Lucy are geared up ready to take on the school lessons.  We will also be offering lessons on 7 days a week so watch this space for more classes.

Wishing everyone a fantastic summer and the 1st Swim School team -Phil. Kathy, Leigh. Richard, Ali, Lucy, Lorna, Karen, Joy, Nathan, Cerys and I all look forward to seeing you at Summer School or back with us in September.

Philomena, Director, 1st Swim School Limited
